Professional Training Courses

Bassetts Transport Training delivers a quality-assured service for drivers of Large Goods Vehicles, Passenger Carrying Vehicles and Fork Lift Trucks, alongside a range of driver development courses.

All practical on-road training is conducted on a one instructor to one trainee basis. Our Tittensor depot is approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) as an examination site for LGV driving tests, with a dedicated on-site manoeuvring area for candidates and DVSA examiners alike.

Our Courses

LGV Training

Practical LGV driver training scheduled at a mutually agreeable time, conducted one-to-one with an experienced instructor. Our Tittensor depot is an approved DVSA examination site for LGV driving tests.

  • Category C - rigid vehicles over 7.5t
  • Category CE - articulated combinations up to 44t
  • Category B+E - car and trailer combinations

PCV Training

PCV training courses normally commence from our Tittensor depot, giving candidates the full benefit of our on-site manoeuvring facilities before heading out on to the road.

  • Category D1 - minibus up to 16 passenger seats
  • Category D - full bus and coach licence

Driver CPC

To maintain their Driver CPC qualification, professional LGV and PCV drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years with an approved provider. Bassetts delivers this as 5 modules of 7 hours each.

FLT Training
