Bassetts Transport Training delivers a quality-assured service for drivers of Large Goods Vehicles, Passenger Carrying Vehicles and Fork Lift Trucks, alongside a range of driver development courses.
All practical on-road training is conducted on a one instructor to one trainee basis. Our Tittensor depot is approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) as an examination site for LGV driving tests, with a dedicated on-site manoeuvring area for candidates and DVSA examiners alike.

PCV training courses normally commence from our Tittensor depot, giving candidates the full benefit of our on-site manoeuvring facilities before heading out on to the road.
To maintain their Driver CPC qualification, professional LGV and PCV drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years with an approved provider. Bassetts delivers this as 5 modules of 7 hours each.
Bassetts Transport Training offers reliable Fork Lift Truck tuition, covering both novice operators and experienced drivers requiring refresher or conversion training.

Nick joined the Bassett's Training team in 2024, having spent 15 years in the British Army. He brings a wealth of knowledge and qualifications, delivering practical driver training and classroom courses such as Driver CPC, ADR, First Aid & Mental Health First Aid. Nick is a member of the National Register of LGV Instructors.

Yazz is the newest member of the team and oversees the planning and organisation of our training programmes, ensuring that training runs efficiently from start to finish. Yazz has experience in training delivery, administration, and learner support and is committed to delivering a seamless experience while supporting learners at every stage.
LGV Instructor
Ken is a highly experienced LGV Instructor, having delivered LGV licence acquisition & driver development training for the past 17 years. He is qualified as an LGV Instructor with the Driving Standards Agency, has completed RTITB Master Driver CPC Instructor Training and holds a Certificate of Professional Competence in National Road Haulage Operations.

Pete came to R G Bassett & Sons Ltd in 2010, bringing over 20 years of experience delivering LGV driver training. He has gained accreditation as an RTITB Approved LGV Driving Instructor, a Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED) Instructor, and is registered as an LGV Instructor with the Driving Standards Agency.
